Defience Systems, Inc. digitally engineers and builds military systems around a Modular Open Power Systems Architecture (MOPSA) in conjunction with MOSA and MBSE. MOPSA is a game-changing technique to tie power producers and consumers together in a way that each element in the power network self-regulates its behavior and protects the network from cascading effects. This eliminates the need for complex and restrictive centralized power controllers. Because it is modular and open, any MOPSA-compliant system can plug in to “the network”. This is similar to USB technology and power electronics. And like the USB, it leverages DC power, alleviating the problems associated with the complexity of AC power.

MOPSA solves DoD’s power generation, storage, distribution, and management problems agnostic of power generation source, energy storage, and other subcomponents. The MOPSA approach underpinning our ecosystem allows for growth, upgrades, and mixing components of various vintages and chemistries. We can apply MOPSA to vehicles, ships, and expeditionary generator systems to ensure interoperability and enterprise sustainment reduction. Our architecture, energy storage modules, and electric mobility modules further provide significant increases in “silent” operational capabilities.
